Position Overview

 

As a Marketing Intern at NY Special Care, you'll play a key role in supporting our outreach and promotional efforts aimed at increasing awareness of our autism care programs within the Chinese community. You'll collaborate with our marketing team to develop and implement culturally relevant digital strategies, create engaging content for platforms such as WeChat and RED (Xiaohongshu), and assist with community engagement initiatives. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to build your skills in community-centered content creation, branding, and data-driven marketing—all while supporting a mission-driven organization dedicated to autism care.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in creating, editing, and scheduling bilingual (English/Chinese) content on WeChat, RED, and other relevant platforms.
  • Help maintain and grow our digital presence within the Chinese-speaking community.
  • Translate and localize marketing materials for cultural relevance and clarity.
  • Research trends and engagement strategies on Chinese social platforms to improve reach.
  • Support community events, outreach campaigns, and workshops as needed.
  • Collect feedback and performance metrics to refine content and outreach strategies.

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong familiarity with platforms like WeChat, RED (Xiaohongshu), and Chinese online communities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Excellent communication, writing, and design skills (Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools a plus).
  • Passion for community service, mental health, or special education is highly valued.
  • Experience with or understanding of the Chinese-American community is a plus.
